Do I need to take Malaria pills?

You may be suggested by your doctor to take malaria pills as you are travelling to Lombok.
We have never heard of a case of Malaria on Gili Trawangan However if you are planning on travelling to the mountainous areas in Lombok you may wish to take malaria tablets.
Mosquito repellent is available readily on the island.

How long does it take from Bali to Gili Trawangan by fast boat?

The fast boat takes approximately 2.5 hours.
You will be picked up at your hotel in Bali at approximately 7am departing at the harbour at 8am and arriving on Gili Trawangan at 10.30am.

Can you arrive in Bali and get to Gili Trawangan on the same day?

Yes you can as long as you don’t arrive too late into Bali. You will need however to take a domestic flight and we will arrange a car to collect you from Lombok airport. The journey is about 40 minutes by car from Mataram airport, then a 15 minute speedboat journey to Gili Trawangan. If you wish to travel by fast boat from Bali you will need to wait till the following morning.

Do you have childrens bikes or baby seats?

Yes we do have childrens bikes and baby seats to put on the back of bikes. Please let us know in advance

What is the weather like?

The rainy season on Gili Trawangan is between November and April. The temperature is very consistant with little change in temperature between the season. The temperature is usually around 30 degrees
The dry season is from April to October. In rainy season the rain comes in heavy downpours which is then replaced with sunny fine weather.

Do I need a visa for Indonesia?
